This summer I was lucky enough to travel south of the border to New York City for a combined round trip total of $1.50 thanks to a great deal I found over at Redflagdeals.com. Originally I had found a deal posted over there about Megabus, who had just started a bus service between Toronto and New York and offered free trips between the cities as a promotional offer. Since I had caught on the deal late, I was only able to grab a one way ticket for FREE and pay only the 50 cent service charge. Out of sheer luck, Greyhound had introduced their NeON line during the same time as Megabus which also offered service between Toronto and New York for an introductory promotional price of $1.00 (no service charge) and I was able to book my trip home. While in NYC, other great deals were to be had with freebies such as the Staten Island Ferry, Brooklyn Bridge and seeing the city by foot. While both Megabus and NeON still offer their services starting at $1.00 it’s extremely difficult to land tickets at this price, potentially making this a deal of a lifetime.
